I was born, raised and continue to live in the great state of Georgia with my wife and two beautiful daughters. I attended Dalton College, Southern Technical Institute and Ryerson Polytech. I spent many late night and early morning hours programming in the early eighties on an IBM PC with two 5 1/4 floppies and 256K of ram in languages such as Basic, Forth and Assembler. After working many other jobs in many capacities, I started my developer career as a mainframe operator and later a programmer with World Carpets - a local carpet company. A couple of years later, I moved to Olan Mills Portraits where, after starting as a mainframe developer, I started writing software for the PC platform in Powerbuilder and Java.
I spent a few years as a senior consultant with Extreme Logic where I cut my teeth on Microsoft's DNA architecture and moved to .Net during its 1.0 beta days. After the .com bubble bursted, I took a job with a transportation company called Transportation Solutions, Inc. where my responsibilities were primarily to automate and streamline business processes with software. In 2004, I left TSi and have been contracting ever since in various sectors such as transportation, utilities, automotive and health insurance and communications. I contract and author software through my company Enterprise, Etc LLC.
I enjoy seeing projects delivered and making a difference, as well as striving to keep pace with many different facets of technology.
